2D Editors

Odyssey proposes several 2D editors depending on the asset to be edited. There are 3 types of assets:

  • Texture 2D

  • Flipbook

  • Animation

Depending on what asset is edited, the interface might be a little different. This part of the guide will present all the panels, the one that are common between the 3 assets, and the ones that are contextuals.

All these panels though can be found in the Window menu of Odyssey.

In addition of the 3 editors to work on a Texture 2D, a Flipbook or an Animation, there is also a versatile Editor that will work with Textures 2D and Animation directly from the 3D environment. This mode is named “Iliad” and you will find more about it in this lesson.

Depending on the project created with the Project Browser, the Editor opened by default will change.

2D Drawing templates

With “2D Drawing”, the Texture Editor will open:

2D Animation templates

With “2D Animation”, the Animation Editor will open:

Storyboard templates

With “Storyboard”, the “Iliad Editor” will open in a 3d interface (there is a version with a white background and another version without it).

2D Animation in 3D environment templates

With “2D Animation in a 3D Environment”, the “Iliad Editor” will open in a 3d interface.
