Export a 2D Animation

Open the Animation into the Animation Editor. Go to the menu File and select the sub-menu “Export”.

Image Sequence

This option will export the Animation as an image sequence on your computer. Click on this option to display this panel:

  • Format: choose between png, jpg, tga or bmp.

  • Source: choose between a flatten animation (Animation), separated Layers (All Layers) or the current Layer only (Current Layer).

  • Range: choose between All Frames (will export from 0), All Cells (will export from the first visible Cell) and Custom (choose the in and out).

  • Unique Frame Only: will only render the first image from each Cell.

Then, you will be asked to choose the directory in your file explorer to export the animation. Depending on the options and the content of the Layers, you will be able to export transparent images with alpha.

Flipbook

This mode will convert your Animation into a Flipbook with invidual Sprites and flatten Texture 2D. This mode is very useful for 2D video games.
