Hello Praxinos!
Veteran TVPaint user here and very interested to see what new magic the team is creating. The first demo looks very interesting, especially that new brush engine. And an article I read somewhere where it was mentioned that 2d animation functionality might be in the future....
So I thought I'd grab a first row seat. :)

Welcome aboard !
You are at the right place to follow Praxinos and exchange with its team.
Our first step is to create a powerful paint engine plugin for Unreal Engine. If you are not afraid to use nodes/blueprint logic, possibilities are endless.
Once it's ready, probably around the beginning of fall, we will work on the announced " multi-faceted software for 2D and 3D animation in a real-time environment ".
Real-time 3D has a lot to bring to 2D animation, and 2D animation can offer some missing tools to the 3D artists. It's very interesting, we really hope to help artists in their tasks.

Thank you Elodie! It's nice to see you all here too!
I hope you don't mind me asking; I'm quite interested in that brush engine. I don't own Unreal Engine so I'm not very familiar with blueprint (I have worked with nodes before, though). Will the brushes be able to simulate natural media and their specific behavior? Charcoal, and soft pencils etc? Giving broad strokes when tilted and sharp ones when using the point with the same brush? Could we, for example, create watercolors and feathers an shammies for softening charcoals and tones, etc?
