Re: Welcome here !
Good to see you here, David! ... My main interest is in hand drawn character animation , but I do find that I am increasingly having to deal with 3D objects combined with hand drawn , so this is interesting to me . ... I believe the tools for 2d and 3d are going to merge, one way or another. (Blende...

Re: Welcome here !
Thank you for explaining, Thomas.
The graphics card will be quite important to Odyssey then, won't it? Because it will be build with UE as it's foundation?

Re: Welcome here !
From what I can gather from the YouTube tutorials UE is a full blown 3d package with complete modeling tools etc. Mostly geared toward games, though. It made me wonder; will Iliad, and eventually Odyssey, be easy to step in to for 2d animators who aren't quite used to working with 3d applications? O...

Unreal Engine used for (animation) filmmaking
Blue Zoo Animation in London did a Facebook livestream where they explained (to some degree) how they used UE for their latest short animation. Very interesting! Also because there is some 2d corporated into the animation as well. https://www.facebook.com/bluezooanimation/videos/619826391873243/?__x...

Re: Welcome here !
That looks promising.
The cube was modeled in UE? Or was it imported as a model?

Great! I'm looking forward to the video.
I'm going to download UE to play around with. Thanks for the tip!

Re: Welcome here !
Thank you Elodie! It's nice to see you all here too! I hope you don't mind me asking; I'm quite interested in that brush engine. I don't own Unreal Engine so I'm not very familiar with blueprint (I have worked with nodes before, though). Will the brushes be able to simulate natural media and their s...

Re: Welcome here !
Hello Praxinos! Veteran TVPaint user here and very interested to see what new magic the team is creating. The first demo looks very interesting, especially that new brush engine. And an article I read somewhere where it was mentioned that 2d animation functionality might be in the future.... So I th...
