# Block
Blocks are made of an Odyssey Block Reference, which is mandatory to create a brush. They define anything in your stamp:
what's in it (color, transparency), what's its size, what's its source (a texture 2D, a layer from ILIAD) or
its X-Y reference (area or rectangle).
